PocketTome

PocketTome is a practical book tracker designed for small reading circles, neighborhood clubs, and apartment residents who share a common shelf. It gives your group a simple way to log borrowed and returned books without needing a formal librarian or complicated system. The app opens into a warm library card catalog layout where every title appears as a colorful book spine filed neatly in a wooden drawer. The Shelf tab shows only the books currently available on your shared shelf, with titles running vertically down each spine for quick scanning. The Borrowed tab lists every book that is currently out on loan, including the borrower’s first name and the date the title left the shelf. Viewing any book opens a detail card where you can edit the entry, delete it with a short confirmation prompt, or change its status with a single tap. When a member borrows a title, you can mark it as borrowed from the detail card and it moves into the Borrowed list. Returning a book is just as easy, and the Return to Shelf button files the spine back among the available titles. The Add tab provides a clean form where you can enter a book title, an optional borrower, an optional lent date, and a status toggle between on shelf and out on loan. The Search tab filters your entire collection as you type, matching titles or borrower names and showing a small status ribbon on each result without taking you away from the page. Two dashboard counters give you an immediate view of how many books are on the shelf and how many are currently borrowed. A Return All shortcut lets you reset every book to on shelf, which is useful after a club meeting or a shared shelf reset. All book information is stored locally on your device, so your lending log stays private and available offline whenever you need it. PocketTome keeps the feel of slipping a card into a book pocket while removing the guesswork from your shared reading collection.
