Most workout apps are bloated with social feeds, ads, and loading screens. IronSage is built differently. It is a local-first tool designed to get out of your way so you can focus on lifting.

If you train in a basement gym with spotty Wi-Fi, or you're tired of subscriptions for basic features, this is for you.

CORE PHILOSOPHY
• Local-First Speed: Your data saves instantly to your device. No loading spinners, no waiting for server syncs between sets. Syncing happens silently in the background when connection is restored.
• Zero Distractions: No social feed, no unsolicited advice, no ads. Just your routine and your numbers.

HARDWARE INTEGRATION
• Heart Rate Tracking: Connect Bluetooth smart watches, chest straps (Polar, Wahoo, Garmin) or Wear OS devices directly.
• Recovery Data: We don't just log BPM; we track your heart rate recovery (HRR) between sets to help you decide when you're ready for the next heavy lift.
• Battery Efficient: Optimized polling rates ensure monitoring your heart doesn't drain your battery.

SMART TOOLS
• Auto-Rest Timer: The app detects when you stop moving and starts your rest timer automatically.
• Muscle Heat Map: Visualizes fatigue based on your recent volume, preventing overtraining.
• AI Assistant (Optional): Powered by Gemini, this feature is there if you need form checks or substitution ideas, but stays out of your way if you don't.

YOUR DATA, YOUR CONTROL
• Privacy is the default, not a setting. We do not sell user data.
• Exportable: It’s your progress. You can delete your account or export your data at any time.

PERMISSIONS
We ask for the bare minimum to function:
• Body Sensors: To read heart rate data during sets.
• Bluetooth: To talk to your chest strap or watch.
• Notifications: To vibrate when your rest timer is up.
• Activity Recognition: Used strictly for the auto-pause/auto-timer feature.
