Cons

- Synchronization problems where the app and thermostat are out of sync, including schedule mismatches and delays updating changes.
- The app has inconsistent and incorrect reporting of temperature, time, and operational status, making scheduling and control unreliable.
- Limited app functionality such as no support for multiple users to connect simultaneously and missing Google Home/Alexa integration or loss of previous integrations.
- Poor app stability with crashes, inability to add devices, long delays in response, and lack of meaningful error handling.

| 2025-01-19 | Was notified today of an updated app. I was hopeful that it would correct some bothersome problems. The app does control the thermostat correctly. However the app the consistently reports incorrectly the comfort profile that the thermostat is operating under. Second, sometimes the app reports the current temperature to 1 decimal place and sometimes to no decimal places. While this temp issue is not necessarily important from a utilization standpoint, it does reflect the build quality. | ||

| 2025-01-15 | Horrible app. I regret upgrading to the carrier controller due to the poor performance of this app. We paid a lot just to be frustrated. App sometimes won't open. Even when it does, there is a long delay to retrieve current information from the controller or to adjust settings. Sometimes, if I make adjustments from the app, the adjustments never take place on the controller. This removes any sense of security that I would be notified of anything. The app is limited on functionality as well. | ||

| 2025-01-07 | Error trying to add a new HVAC wall device to my account. "Error: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'split')" Un/reinstalling the app and making account changes did not seem to resolve the issue. It temporarily adds the unit to my account with a blank name, and the app just hangs trying to update the unit name. If you close and reopen the app, the device disappears since you cannot have a name for the device. | ||

| 2025-01-02 | This app sucks, especially if you have a type-A or model-A thermostat. The app used to be working fine, but now the app does not support model-A anymore, so it will have a sync issue (date/time, schedule, temp) with the wall thermostat which removes the ability to control your thermostat from the app. Not only Carrier makes bad wall thermostat, but they are also awful in creating app, plus they do not stand behind their app. Customer care wanted me to buy a new model-C thermostat ($3k)?!?! | ||

| 2024-12-28 | UPDATE - the app has been updated and is very good! Poor app. I have a problem with the app not returning to the applicable temp at the selected date/time. For example, resume schedule at 10:00 pm or resume schedule at next interval. I temporarily increase the temperature when guests are over and want the temperature to resume (lower) at 10:00 pm. Just doesn't happen and seems to add 1 day to what I save! Very frustrating! | ||

| 2024-12-27 | horrible app. latency in response is so bad and often is non responsive intermittently. app also says "disconnected" or offline when WI-FI is clear. I wish we still had our Nest but we were forced to use this when we upgraded our furnace. I would have gone with a different OEM if I knew how bad the app was. | ||

| 2024-12-25 | The wall control and the app are absolutely awful. First, the room temp indicator reads 2-3 degrees below what two other nearby digital thermometers read (and those agree). To get the house to 69 degrees, we must set the control to 67. The wall control often ignores the app, so we end up having to use the wall touch screen. Finally, the system refuses to follow the schedule, picking seemingly random temps at random times. Had a Nest thermostat that worked perfectly. This thing is terrible. | ||

| 2024-12-20 | Carrier app is pretty good, it has come a long way. They definitely seem to listen to feedback about the app. The only thing it's missing is Google Home integration. I'm not sure what all the people complaining about servers being down, I never have issues with servers being down, maybe it's your router or Internet people. | ||

| 2024-12-15 | Although the UI is improved, operationally this is not as robust as the previous app. As I fill out this review, the furnace is heating - but the operating status screen shows stale data (AC mode). Also, the app displays UTC time (6 hours ahead of local time); it also displays the schedule settings as if it was 6 hours into the future. Fortunately, my wall controller is not confused in this way. The system IS online. Carrier's inability to fix these issues: inexcusable. | ||

| 2024-12-15 | We just moved into our new home and discovered this app sucks ..keeps dropping offline saying no internet connection, plus learned you can only use infinity thermostats with their systems no other ones, which I feel is a damn trap and just wrong, infinity is crazy expensive! So we have to get up and go downstairs to change the temps since it won't work on our phones..will end up getting a whole new HVAC system in the near future! 👀😱😡 | ||
