2024-12-15	Ro*****	What a joke! I cannot even create my user account because the link that comes to my email address is invalid and does not work. Tried copying the link and pasting it, no luck. Tried 3 different browsers, no luck! Seeing all the other issues with the app in the reviews makes me dread what I might run into, if only I could even get my account verified!

2024-02-23	M.*****	App inexplicably prompted for function of device but wouldn't let me choose Heat only. Accidently chose Cool plus Fan and now I can't get it to heat mode anymore. Can't get it to present the choose Device Function prompt again to select heat. 2024.02.22 app broken again. Can't find device. Can't connect to server. Error msg disappears before can take screen capture. Was working fine for a while, so just leave it alone!

2022-10-05	Ke*****	The instructions simply don't work. I can see the new wireless network created by the usb stick and I can connect but it still never detects the device. I have rebooted my phone, proceeded through the setup steps exactly and it never detects either the device or network in AP mode.

2022-02-19	tr*****	I'm using a Samsung Note 10, running Android version 12. (Android 6 is the supported version listed) 2/14/22 update: There aren't many visible changes to the app. I did notice that the permissions list changed. There is now a long list of app permissions. Unless it now works with Alexa, Google Assistant, or IFTTT, then why the mic permissions, etc... I will investigate the new permissions and edit my review afterward. Otherwise, the app is working as well as it did before this update for us.

2021-08-19	Bi*****	Works as it should, with no glitches. It installed properly the first try, recognized my network and phone, and so on. It works correctly remotely also. My router is line-of-sight of the unit, and has no problems with power. I highly recommend both the app and the heat pump. Update: the new app is Da Bomb! Absolutely excellent!

2021-04-25	Je*****	UPDATE-THIS APP MAY BE THE WRONG APP DESPITE VIDEO TUTORIAL STATING OTHERWISE. TRY MR. COOL SMARTHVAC APP (Original Review) Trying to connect a DIY Mini Split to the app using the 'Manual' way and the app simply never connects to the unit. I get to the point where I select the unit name given in the WiFi selection, but I'm never given the option to put in the password. I get a 'Connected, No Internet' under the unit name within the WiFi device options. The app remains stuck on this 3rd step.

2020-08-09	Ar*****	The registration for the wifi remote has too many bugs. I followed all the registration instructions but could never get access. Finally it told me that my password was not recognized. The link I was sent to reset my password was too long and had no references to the MrCool company. In short, it looked suspicioius to me. I removed the wifi connection from the unit. I was looking forward to using this feature, but that's not gonna happen until MrCool cleans up the bugs and improves security. (I cant submit this review until I select a rating. The ac works well and the installation was a breeze. I would have given Mr Cool 5 stars had it not been for the wifi remote failure.)

2020-06-22	M *****	HAVING SAME ISSUES. So it says in the about this app section : "The APP could not support Android 6.0 and up" (SERIOUSLY?). I see so many bad reviews that wants me return this Mr. Cool mini split unit that I recently purchased and installed. The developer has not answered a single review and app has not been updated for a long time; to me has much to say about the quality of the equipment as well. DEVELOPER: please have a solution to the reviewers complaints. Thanks.

2019-11-10	A *****	Was originally concerned seeing all the negative reviews, however I had no issues at all. The install was painless though I did have to create an account. As far as functionality, it works as designed. My split is installed in a remote building and I wanted to turn the heat / AC on ahead of time before entering, and it does this just fine! Using an LG with Android 7.0. Update 11/10/19: On occasion the Unit goes offline and I have to power it down via the breaker and turn it back on.

2019-10-31	A *****	Worked well until my wifi changed and the app was saying account don't exist and unit is off line, my ac doesn't have a plug it's hardwired so thankfully after weeks of not being able to get in touch with any customer service I just read here that you must unplug and replug the unit in order to get it back on line! So thanks to the reviewer here for that info. Now let's see if it works!
