Block apps and websites. Reduce screen time. Protect your focus.
MindWarden is a digital detox, app blocker, website blocker, and focus tool built to help you reduce screen time, block distractions, and protect your attention.
MindWarden creates friction between you and distracting apps, websites, social media, short videos, and endless feeds. Whether you are studying, working, creating, improving your mental health, or trying to spend less time on your phone, MindWarden helps you stay focused on what matters.
Most apps are designed to increase screen time. MindWarden is designed to reduce it.

Uninstall Protection
Optional commitment protection can make it harder to remove MindWarden impulsively. This feature uses Android Device Administrator access only after you enable it, and it can be turned off by the user before uninstalling the app.
PERMISSION AND ACCESS DISCLOSURE
Accessibility Service
MindWarden uses the Android AccessibilityService API to support its core blocking features. When you enable app or website blocking, MindWarden uses Accessibility Service access to detect which app is currently open and, for supported browsers, the visible website or domain being accessed. This allows MindWarden to show a block screen when you try to open apps or websites that you have chosen to restrict.
MindWarden does not use Accessibility Service to read private messages, capture passwords, record audio or calls, change system settings without your action, or perform actions on your behalf. Accessibility data is used only on your device to enforce your selected blocking, Safe Search, adult content blocking, unsupported browser blocking, and Phone Lock rules. Accessibility Service access is optional and must be enabled manually by the user. You can disable it at any time from Android Accessibility settings.
Foreground Service and Notifications
MindWarden uses a foreground service and notification during active Phone Lock or focus sessions so the countdown can continue reliably and the session status remains visible. Notification permission is used only for MindWarden session/status notifications and can be managed in Android notification settings.
Device Administrator
MindWarden may request Android Device Administrator access only for optional Uninstall Protection. This helps users stay committed to self-selected focus rules by requiring protection to be disabled before uninstalling. MindWarden does not use Device Administrator access for remote management, surveillance, or changing device settings without your permission.
Installed Apps Visibility
MindWarden checks installed app names/icons locally so you can choose which apps to block and so selected social/browser rules can work. This information is used on device for blocking features and is not sold.
Privacy
Blocking rules, settings, selected apps, selected websites, and Phone Lock sessions are stored locally on your device. MindWarden does not use these permissions to sell your personal data.
