App is useless, every time tried app tells me connection failed and holds onto £40 for several days. So far have never been able to tap into 59p/kwh or get Morrisons points. Have to use Octopus Electroverse app/card they dont have any issues so dont know why their own app doesnt work....maybe so you dont access the discounted rate! This is a well known issue apparently so not sure why MFG not sorted this by now.

The app is still very very buggy. I have not been able to connect and start the charge through the app in weeks. But no trouble when connecting through the Octopus app. MFG I'm sure you can do better. Otherwise still one of the best charging networks.
this app needs updating, I've just tried charging via the app and it took the £40 out of my account, the charger stated that the payment was declined and I need to find alternative payment. reopened the app and tried again, this time it worked as it should. however, the app has taken 2 lots of payments from my account for a £10 charge. it's locked my account until you sort yourselves out and pay back the 70 odd quid it has taken initially. it's the second time I. a month it's done this.
Again, as others have said, the £40 authorisations take too long. I need to charge most days, and some of them are still there a week later. Further, it often rejects a charge, but leaves the £40 there, to then have to use a different card. The app sometimes doesn't register that it is charging my car, so then doesn't have the option to stop, and I have to call CS to get it stopped. I was using Octopus app, and all was fine, but the cheaper rate is now only available on MFG direct.
Absolutely garbage. I have a Tesla but don't live near a Tesla charger, these are close to me. They simply do not work via the app so the 59p doesn't exist. Tried multiple chargers and the app just says sorry there's a problem. They barely work when you use contactless either, often you need to go to 2 or 3 before one will work. How can all these companies be so incompetent in comparison to the Tesla supercharger network.
App is woeful. Takes ages to load the available chargers, then it may or may not time out. Once you're connected then the payment may or may not fail. And even if it's successful it may still show as failed giving you no status bar and no way to stop the charge in the app. That's ok, though, because you can just stop it at the terminal with no authentication meaning anyone can do it. Upshot is that twice now I've paid full price because the app is useless. Other than that it's absolute rubbish.
extremely difficult to use, ever since the update, it struggles to load and often it takes multiple attempts and extreme luck to get it to connect
Apps like this give EV infrastructure a bad name! I have used this app 2 times and 2 times its been a complete shambles. Genuinely disappointing as i would love to say this alwas user error and i could move on. But, between no clear labelling of what is connector 1 or 2 and inconsistancy of whether that 1 or 2 is the left or right connector making it truly unintuitive. im sitting on £160 of authorisation fees because of the constant failures. The most ineffective charging app ive used.
Slow and clunky. First time using the app for charging and somewhat dissappointed. VERY slow and getting a charge started is a terrible user experience. Faffing with a £40 preauth begote even plugging in. There ate just too many steps. Take a leaf out og Tesla's boom. Select charger, plug in, walk away.
doesn't work just like their EV charging stations.
