2024-12-16	Ri*****	It's a scam. The ring arrives and then they shut the payment service. Trying to claim any funds back or get a refund is impossible. They are using a company called RailSR. Again they are possibly a scam. It's a fraud, avoid any McLear products.

2024-07-03	*****	Hi I like the ring and my family I just bought second one after 4 years (whole family 4)but I mention this many times over the years no dark mode but biggest problem is still no option for my family to check balance on their rings they call me to ask about ballance why? If nothing will change this will be last one I bought. Mclear was one of the first one and I like it but many companies start same think so if nothing change I will go somewhere else.

2024-06-12	Be*****	All well and good, but don't get comfortable and rely on it, a while ago it stopped working while trying to pay in a petrol station. Turns it 'a few vendors were temporarily affected', and as i type this review I'm unable to log in to the app to check the balance as its forcing an update; but its not allowing me to actually download it. So now I'm going to have to drive home to grab my wallet

Frequent logins required, which it usually doesn't tell you about in advance so your transaction is declined, which then requires you to log in. It also resets the password/biometric login. At random. Frequently declines for no reason too. Avoid. Support just says "it shouldn't do that" and is no use whatsoever.

2024-03-14	Ol*****	Fantastic Product. Very much enjoy using it. Great for watching your spending on a night out and whenever I use it I get questions about where I got it from. Had an issue that required their customer service team and they were absolutely amazing. Quick response to everything plus resolution was fast and far surpassed my hopes and expectations. Set up was very easy. The App is simple to use. Used abroad with no issues. Great product, great company, amazing customer service. Highly recommend!

2024-03-03	St*****	Poor. Very poor. This ring has only worked properly once, on a wired in machine in a pub where I had to press the ring right against the machine. SumUp machines have only worked when I took the ring off and laid it on their scan area and iZettle machines just refuse to recognise it. The app's design is not intuitive nor is it easy to navigate and find what you're looking for. Thoroughly regretting buying this now.

Sign up, activation, linking to card etc is all easy to do but I experienced an issue with the app resetting the preset auto top up amount to the default after I had manually set it lower. The app crashes if you enable cashback sharing without enabling charity donations first and causes a reset of the app memory. It caused an accidental top up higher than I wanted when I activated auto top up. Quite a serious problem when it involves moving cash.

2024-02-19	*****	It's a poorly designed app. Confusing and illogical. The designers need to be fired. Tracking spend (credits and debits) is difficult as the interface is so blah. Accessing is hit and miss...soemtimes it throws up passwords randomly or logs you out. Try doing some UX testing and think about the user journey! 🤦🏻‍♂️

However, after the last update, I received an email and a message through the app telling me I had to re submit my payment details, and guess what, I have tried several times to update this and now the app is stuck on processing payment with the details not updating . Update after 3 attempts finally got my payment details added again. If McLEAR are going to make changes, maybe the developers should robustly test them before they release the update.

2023-08-05	El*****	2022/2023 The "new" slim rings are rubbish. My old one expired & they didnt have my size so they gave me a new slim ring and very quickly it stopped, sent it back to confirm. They sent me a new one that didnt work out of the box. They sent another, and within a few months that stopped. Headache making videos of it not working in ques of people & looking foolish trying to use the ring. Just gave up, requested all my money back, cancelled all payments and removed app from phone. Never again
