Review summary
Pros
- Simple, clean interface and generally easy to set up and use (several users report smooth initial setup)
- Works well for some devices—many users praise iSG/hub functionality and basic operation
- Local IR blaster support and IR learning that can operate locally (no cloud required beyond initial setup)
Cons
- Advertised MQTT/Home Assistant features either missing or hard to access—several users report no MQTT option or broken HA integration
- Unreliable device connectivity: devices frequently go offline, disconnect from Wi‑Fi, or report stale sensor/automation updates
- Poor documentation and customer support; setup instructions are unclear or missing and advertised features are not always present
- Account and installation friction: email verification, login persistence, install/location errors, and privacy/registration requirements reported by multiple users

| 2025-01-13 | Can be a little tricky at times to set up the MQTT integration but once you have that set up, this integrates well into Home Assistant and other locally controlled platforms. Nice to see an IR blaster that works LOCALLY with Home Assistant. No cloud needed (beyond the initial set up). | ||

| 2025-01-11 | Lacks features shown in online promotions. Creators have access to mqtt settings for the IR blaster, but the app itself says it can't do that, and the option is not available. Poorly written instructions and seemingly support. Will update review when app is fully usable. If you don't need mqtt for the IR blaster it seems ok and learns codes well, just don't like being deceived with missing features. | ||

| 2025-01-09 | I would love to try out the product, but I can't because the app has an arbitrary length limit on the WiFi password field. WPA2 allows for up to 63-character passwords, but the LinknLink app only allows entering up to 36-character passwords. | ||

| 2024-12-11 | eMotion Max/app does not: allow you toggle off newsletter, allow for only local (must have wifi which is not what was advertised), is not 6m (testing from me/others shows 3-4m max), they make a loud buzzing noise, the cable is only 3ft (should be 6-10ft since it requires an outlet), not usb-c, does not show storage data, has issues with connecting via Bluetooth in app, etc. Sadly the app and device are not worth it at this time | ||
