MeThen: Progress Photo Tracker

The scale can't tell muscle from water. A progress photo can - but only if this month's shot lines up with last month's.

MeThen is a local-first progress photo tracker for gym check-ins. Photos, notes and results stay on your device; nothing is uploaded until you start an AI analysis. No account, no sign-in.

ALIGN EVERY SHOT
- Ghost overlay: tap to see your last photo for that pose semi-transparent over the live viewfinder, and match your stance.
- Pose silhouette, rule-of-thirds grid, center line, and a level prompt from the gravity sensor.
- Self-timer at 3 or 10 seconds: prop the phone up and step back.
- Import an older photo as a backdated check-in, with the date taken and angle you set.

YOUR TIMELINE, OFFLINE AND FREE
Unlimited check-ins, each with up to three photos - front, side and back. A newest-first timeline, a journal note on any check-in, and side-by-side compare of any two check-ins: a real before and after from your own timeline. All local, all free, no network.

AN OPTIONAL AI ANALYSIS
Tap "Analyze my progress". MeThen sends the photos whose AI toggle is still on - switch one off and it is never sent - plus that check-in's note and a short summary of your last result, to Google's Gemini on Vertex AI via Firebase. It returns:
- A headline and a two-to-three sentence summary of the trend.
- Notes on what changed: the model is asked to look at shoulders, chest, waist, arms, posture, leanness and symmetry.
- A broad body-fat range when the photos support one, labeled a rough estimate from photos, not a measurement. This is a fitness tool, not a medical one.
- A trend direction, shown only when the model's own confidence is above low.

No scores, no grades, no ranking. The model is instructed never to comment on your attractiveness or worth.

Add height, weight, sex and age - or a body composition measurement you already have, from a DEXA scan, bioimpedance (BIA) or calipers - and MeThen bounds that range around it on your device, after the answer arrives. Those details are never transmitted, and an older reading keeps a wider range.

FOLLOW-UP CHAT (ENGLISH AND SPANISH)
Ask about a saved result. Chat sends text only - photos are never resent. Requests for a diet, supplement or workout prescription are declined rather than answered with an invented plan, and wording about disordered eating or self-harm is matched on your device and always answered with a fixed supportive message.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- No photo-library permission at all - importing runs through the Android photo picker.
- Location and camera metadata are stripped from every photo before it is saved.
- No ads, no sign-in, no advertising or attribution SDKs - nothing profiles you across apps.
- Privacy Lock puts the app behind your fingerprint or screen lock, free.
- AI upload consent stays off until you grant it, is revocable, and is re-checked before every send.
- Cloud backup and device transfer are off by design, so a reinstall or a new phone starts empty.
- Delete every check-in, photo, result and saved detail from Settings.

FREE AND PRO
Free covers everything above, plus 2 AI analyses in total per install - a one-time allowance, not monthly - and a daily allowance of chat replies. Re-analyze without reshooting; a canceled analysis spends nothing. Pro lifts both: unlimited analyses and no daily chat allowance (an anti-abuse rate guard still applies), monthly or yearly. A free trial may be available; Google Play shows the offer that applies. Subscriptions renew unless canceled in Google Play.

Bulking, cutting or recomping: MeThen tracks no phases or goals, only what your progress photos show. Translated into 20 languages; the analysis is asked to answer in your device language.

MeThen gives general, non-medical observations from photos - not medical advice. Body-fat figures are broad estimates, not measurements.
