Features & Capabilities

Froogle: Discounts and Deals is an Android app that helps you discover nearby businesses offering exclusive deals, discounts, and new products. If you’re frugal, you’ll be among the first to know about special offers and occasional freebies based on where you go.

When you enter a Froogle-friendly location, the app notifies you of the current offer and how to redeem it. Locations are marked with Fred, the piggy bank icon, and as the network grows you can see more stores on the Froogle website. Future updates will bring more stores and new categories.

User Reviews

Froogle™ app provides valuable discounts and helps users discover new dining and entertainment options, saving them money. However, users report intrusive permission requests, especially for always-on location access, and technical issues like app crashes and redeem button malfunctions. There's also frustration over limited vendor participation and some retailers not honoring offers, which diminishes user experience. Despite these issues, many users appreciate the app's deals and support for local businesses.

Pros

Offers great deals and discounts at restaurants and other businesses
Helps users save money and try new places
Free to use and easy to redeem offers
Positive impact on local businesses by attracting customers
App is enjoyable and appreciated by users

Cons

App requires always-on location access, which users find intrusive
Some users experience app crashes, freezing, or inability to access the app
Redeem button sometimes fails to appear or redeems offers automatically causing issues
Limited number of participating vendors in certain areas
Some vendors do not honor the advertised discounts or impose additional conditions

Froogle has quickly become one of my favorite money-saving apps. The local deals are genuinely useful, and I've found several new restaurants and businesses thanks to the app. It's simple, convenient, and helps me save without having to search for coupons everywhere. Great concept and a great experience overall! froogleapp
