Pour Works: Water Sort

Pour one colour onto the same colour until every glass holds a single colour and nothing else. That is the whole rule. What grows is not the rule but the tangle.

THE PUZZLE
• 1,170 solver-verified levels across nine themed chapters, plus 22 challenge levels that stand on their own
• Each challenge opens when you clear the level it sits beside on the map
• A chapter shelf that shows what is coming, not only what you have finished
• Each chapter adds one rule and teaches it before it leans on it:
– hidden colours you cannot see until you pour off what covers them
– glasses five and six deep
– tall and short glasses on one board, where a colour has nowhere short to rest
– drains that only take, spouts that only give
– sealed glasses that open on a pour count
– big boards of up to twenty-four glasses, one colour spread across several of them
– move-limited boards where every pour counts
– colour keys: glasses that stay shut until a named colour is finished
– pipes that pour out from the bottom: the first colour in is the first colour out
• Hard levels marked as hard, so you know what you play
• Three stars per level, and par is the shortest line that exists — the solver proves it, so it never asks for the impossible. Big boards have no par: finishing one is three stars
• A fourth star on boards of mixed sizes, for a perfect run

THE RIVER
• A second way to play, in real time: glasses drift past on the river, and you fill each one before it gets away
• 560 river levels on two ladders — River, and Drinks, where a glass asks for layers in a set order. The first 30 of each are free; the River pass opens the rest
• A missed glass comes round again, but each miss costs a star and the third ends the run

EVERY DAY
• A daily challenge: a short board a day, seven days to the week, each day with its own rule
• Solving it pays power-up charges, and day seven pays double

WHEN YOU GET STUCK
• Undo takes back your last pour
• Hint points out a move that still wins — it never lies, because the solver checks
• Reveal uncovers one hidden glass
• Extra Glass adds a spare for the rest of the level
• Add +2 Moves extends a move-limited attempt
• Trial lets you pour freely, then keep the pours or take them all back at once
• Flip turns one glass over, reversing the order of its colours
• Slow Time runs the river at half speed for a few seconds
• If every glass is full and no two tops match, the game says so plainly instead of letting you stare at it

COINS AND POWER-UPS
• Free to play
• Coins come from clearing levels, and power-ups are bought with coins
• XP raises your player level; level-ups and milestones pay out coins and charges
• Optional in-app purchases: coin bundles, a one-time starter bundle, the River pass and a double daily reward

MAKE THE TABLE YOURS
• Five kinds of glassware: classic jar, test tube, bottle, flask, carafe
• Six backgrounds: Deep Water, Dusk, Laboratory, Soft Focus, Night Sky, Aurora
• Each one opens at a player level and is bought with coins, then equipped whenever you like

• Numbers and patterns on the liquids, so colour is never required
