Pourglass

Pour, sort, and take your time.

Pourglass is a water sort puzzle: tip liquid between test tubes until every tube
holds a single colour. You can only pour onto an empty tube or onto the same
colour, and that one rule is the whole game — the rest is you, working out the
order.

200 LEVELS, EVERY ONE OF THEM SOLVABLE

Every level here is built backwards from a solved board, so a solution always
exists. Then a solver plays it and records the shortest possible route. That is
why the game can tell you the optimal number of moves — clear a level in exactly that many and you get PERFECT.

They start at five tubes and three colours and grow to thirteen tubes, with the
shortest solutions running from 8 moves to 25.

TWO THINGS GET IN YOUR WAY

• Sealed tubes — a crate padlocked shut with a number on it. Finish that many
tubes and it opens, showing everything at once. It costs you tempo, never a
guess.
• Hidden cells — one unit covered by a question mark. On almost every level it
can be worked out rather than gambled on: each colour has a fixed number of
units, so once the rest is accounted for, there is only one thing it can be.

WHAT THIS GAME WILL NOT DO TO YOU

• No ad ever interrupts a level. No pop-up between levels, no countdown before
you can play.
• No timers. No lives. No energy meter that runs out.
• No daily streak to break, and nothing that expires while you are away.
• Undo is free and unlimited. Restart is free. They always will be.

If you put it down for three weeks, it will be exactly where you left it.

WHEN YOU ARE STUCK

Two rescues, both optional and both capped so they stay a rescue rather than a way to play: a hint that lights the two tubes of the best next move, and one
extra empty tube for the current attempt. You buy them with coins earned by
clearing levels — nothing here costs money.

Every six levels you clear for the first time fills a chest, and what comes out
is more of those tools.
