All landmarks are divided into six categories:
1. Architecture – This category contains the most extensive collection of information about Kharkiv's historical buildings, constructed before 1919. And many more.

2. Modernism – 20th-century architecture is often overlooked, except for the famous Derzhprom building. But many other modernist buildings have fascinating histories and aesthetics of their own. It's time to explore them with the stories from Kharkiv Map!

3. Lost Heritage – A significant part of Kharkiv's heritage has been lost, but these buildings remain important to the city's history and architecture. The Soviet Union left behind a legacy of destruction, particularly in the historic city center.

4. Monuments – In 1900, the first monument to Taras Shevchenko was erected illegally by the Alchevsky family in their estate. Today, Kharkiv has many interesting monuments, each with its own history.

5. Necropolis – This section is rarely found in guides to Kharkiv. Although much of the city's historical cemeteries have been destroyed, Kharkiv Map has compiled information on over 80 intriguing, little-known locations.
