MIG, TIG, and FCAW specifics

MIG welding (GMAW), TIG welding (GTAW), and flux core welding (FCAW) each have different optimal settings even when joining the same base metal. Flux core runs at higher wire feed speeds than solid wire MIG for the same material thickness. TIG welding amperage is typically lower than MIG for thin material. This welding amperage calculator handles all three correctly and labels results clearly so you don't mix them up.
