The app also fails to respect device orientation settings, and paid users still encounter ads, detracting from overall usability and satisfaction.

I like the news reporting but the app has a long way to go. Nearly every time I open it there are no articles and I have to close the app and reopen it to get them. Also, I use a dark theme, which is respected on the headline pages but when you go to an individual story it is white

This app is ALWAYS problematic. Whenever I open it, it never loads. Sometimes it'll load if I swipe through, but usually I have to uninstall & reinstall (ridiculously tiresome). Since it's my only problematic & my mo is always updated, it has to be this app. Regarding the content & quality of news, can't say I'm that impressed (leftwing, opinionated, & not particularly insightful). There is an upside though, I like the Games section 🤣 (but not enough to renew my subscription when due).
