Pocketlings is a playful digital pocket chart that helps elementary teachers manage classroom jobs and rotate student responsibilities every week. The app keeps all assignments organized in one welcoming place so teachers, classroom aides, and substitute teachers can quickly see who is responsible for each task. From the Dashboard tab, you can view oversized counters for today's assigned jobs, unassigned jobs, and total roles without searching through paper charts. A quick add button on the Dashboard takes you straight to the Assign tab when a new responsibility needs to be recorded. The Jobs tab includes a searchable list of every job assignment, and you can filter by Assigned or Unassigned status to focus on what still needs coverage. Tapping any assignment in the Jobs list lets you edit the job name, student name, status, or optional teacher notes, or you can delete the entry if it is no longer needed. The Assign tab uses a simple form with fields for the job name, student name, and a status dropdown, so creating a new assignment takes only a few seconds. The Roster tab automatically gathers student names from all saved job assignments and displays each student with small colored tags for their assigned jobs. Because all data is stored locally on the device, your classroom job chart remains available without an internet connection and stays within your control. The app's pocket chart layout uses large touch targets and bright visual cues to make weekly rotation fast and clear. Teachers can use Pocketlings to keep common roles like Line Leader, Door Holder, and other classroom helpers visible and easy to update. By moving the classroom jobs chart into a simple mobile format, the app reduces the time spent reprinting names or rearranging paper pockets. Substitute teachers can open the app and immediately understand assigned student responsibilities during transitions or daily routines.
