IWasKidnapped.com is a personal safety app that turns your phone into a silent panic button.

Set up two PIN codes: a normal one to unlock the app, and a hidden "panic" PIN. If you are ever forced to open your phone, enter the panic PIN. The app looks like it unlocked normally, but in the background it quietly alerts the people you trust.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRIGGER AN ALERT
• Your important documents (ID, passport, anything you uploaded) are emailed to your emergency contacts.
• A short audio clip (about 30 seconds) is recorded and sent to them.
• Photos from the front and back camera are captured (if you allowed camera access).
• Your GPS location is shared and updated every 10 minutes so contacts can follow your movement.

YOU STAY IN CONTROL
• Nothing is shared until YOU trigger an alert.
• Entering your correct PIN twice cancels a false alarm.
• You choose exactly which files and which contacts are used.

DEAD-MAN SWITCH
If your phone goes silent and stops checking in for too long, the app can raise an alert automatically. Free version: after 3 days of no response. Pro version: choose any period from 5 minutes to 3 days.

PRIVACY
• Data is encrypted in transit.
• Recordings, photos and location are sent only to the emergency contacts you choose.
• Standard system indicators (recording dot, notifications) are shown during capture — this is required by Android and cannot be hidden.
• You are responsible for following your local laws on recording.
