Overall, Iphigénie is a mature, feature-rich offline map tool for hikers, with quality topo maps and strong offline use. However licensing/login friction, a dated UI, stability issues, and inconsistent offline tile performance hinder daily use. With improved UX and more reliable offline behavior, it could be excellent for multi-day treks.

Cons

Licensing and login friction: frequent logouts, startup network prompts, and difficulty verifying or transferring licenses.
Not intuitive UI with awkward ergonomics and confusing navigation.
Stability issues: glitches, freezes, and crashes during searches.
Offline tile loading and performance can be slow or unreliable, with limitations in the free version.
Zoom level and map detail not well suited for mobile, causing loss of detail when dezooming or switching layers.

I've been using Iphigenie for 5-10 years now, I'm quite happy with the app. Recently, with the Whympr acquisition however, I find it highly annoying to get regularly prompted for a login password. To me, accessing the map is a security requirement. I pay for it happily. Being logged out and unable to log in due to no/bad network is really really a problem. And the app does log me out every once in a while (multiple times per month). Please fix it.
