Optional tools help you understand how your phone is used and support healthy limits when enabled by a trusted adult. With caregiver approval, Guardiané can show daily app usage and let families set per-app time limits.

App time limits (Accessibility permission)
When a parent or guardian turns on app blocking, Guardiané uses Android’s AccessibilityService API to enforce daily time limits the family has set. The app observes which app is opened (app switch events only). It does not read on-screen text, messages, passwords, or other content inside apps. This information is used only on the device to show a block screen when a limited app reaches its daily allowance. You can turn this off anytime in Android Settings → Accessibility → Guardiané.

Works with your guardian setup
When linked with your family’s configuration, updates can sync safely through Firebase so parents stay informed without extra fuss.

Permissions & privacy
Guardiané is intended for use together with a parent or guardian who controls accounts, permissions, and privacy settings. Some features require Android permissions that should only be enabled when a caregiver agrees they are appropriate, including:

Usage access — to display app screen-time statistics
Accessibility service — to enforce optional daily app time limits (see above)
Notification access — to monitor notification content for safety features when enabled
SMS access — to read and classify text messages for safety monitoring when enabled
Before any sensitive permission is enabled, the app shows a clear in-app disclosure explaining what data is accessed and how it is used. Permissions can be reviewed and disabled in Android Settings at any time.
