Stepframe: Video Analysis Android

Stepframe: Video Analysis

Step through sports videos frame by frame, draw on them, measure angles.

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Find the exact frame where a movement goes right or wrong, mark it, and show your athlete why.

What it does
Stepframe opens the videos you film on your phone and moves through them one frame at a time, forward or back. Draw lines, arrows and circles on the picture, flag key moments such as foot strike or ball contact, and jump between them with one tap. Golf, tennis, athletics, football, swimming, gymnastics: if you can film it, you can break it down.

Why it is different
• Exact frames: every step lands on the next real frame, and the frame number stays on screen.
• A drawing belongs to its frame, so the line you drew at contact is gone at follow-through.
• Made for 120 and 240 fps slow-motion clips as well as normal video.
• No account, no subscription, no ads. It works without a connection.

Included for everyone
• Frame-by-frame stepping, jog by dragging on the picture, playback down to 0.1x
• Pinch to zoom on a detail
• Key moments you can name, shown as marks on the timeline
• Line, arrow, circle, freehand, move and eraser tools, six colours, undo
• Save the annotated frame as an image and share it with your athlete
• Send to the athlete: every key moment as an annotated image, with a short text of the moments, angles and timer readings, in one share
• Organise the library by athlete and tag (sport, drill, session), and filter in one tap
• Light and dark themes, and layouts made for tablets and foldables
• One video in the library at a time

Pro: one payment, yours to keep
A single in-app purchase, no subscription, unlocks:
• The angle tool, in degrees: knee, elbow, hip, trunk lean
• A timer counted in frames from any moment, shown on your exports
• Two videos side by side or as a ghost overlay, stepping together, with the same drawing tools on each
• The slow-motion clip in the package you send to your athlete
• MP4 clips with your drawings burned in, at normal speed or in slow motion (0.5x or 0.25x)
• Playback down to 0.05x, and custom speeds
• As many videos in the library as you like

Privacy
No account and no sign-in. Your videos stay on your phone: Stepframe reads only the files you pick through the Android media picker and asks for no storage permission. No analytics, no ads, nothing uploaded.
