it took me through a long sales pitch before wanting me me to sign up for a free trial.. There was no alternative. When I opened it again it let me browse, but all the tracks shown were premium. Finally I found free tracks but asked me to sign up. By then I was fed up and didn't want to sign up with an app that makes things complicated. Really the long salesy sequence at the beginning and hiding the free option is what did it for me.
