Gauchwin Benchworks

Gauchwin Benchworks is a pocket workshop assistant for joiners and cabinetmakers who plan cuts and order timber. It runs entirely on the device with straightforward arithmetic you can check by hand.

The Cut List tool packs a list of part lengths into stock boards, allowing for the saw kerf, and shows how many boards are needed with the offcut left on each one. The parts list is saved so a job can be picked up again later.

The Board Feet tool turns thickness, width, length and quantity into board feet, cubic metres and a material cost at a rate you set. The Sheet Yield tool fits part panels into a sheet in both orientations and reports the best parts-per-sheet with the waste left over.

The Mitre and Frame tool works out the mitre angle and each rail length for a picture-style frame from its outer size and stock width. Settings offer English and German and a link to the privacy notice.
