User Reviews

Across reviews, XApp is praised for fast transfers when it connects and for improvements over earlier versions, but is hampered by widespread connectivity issues (Bluetooth pairing resets, unreliable Wi-Fi), slow/crashing transfers, battery drain, and device compatibility gaps. Some users report smooth operation on specific devices, but many cite intrusive notifications and missing workflow features (permanent JPG filter). Overall sentiment is mixed, with intermittent reliability and notable feature gaps.
Pros
  • Fast transfer speeds when the connection is active
  • Notable improvements over previous app versions
  • Some users report smooth operation on certain devices
  • Positive service and support from Fujifilm
Cons
  • Frequent connectivity and pairing failures (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi) across devices and firmware
  • Slow or unstable transfers, with crashes during transfer
  • Significant battery drain and charging/power management issues
  • Compatibility limitations across devices (e.g., Samsung, X-S20/XE5, Wi-Fi-only cameras) and inconsistent support
  • UI/UX annoyances and missing features (no persistent JPG filter, intrusive notifications, and other workflow issues)

using the app is like pulling teeth. 9/10 times it takes at least 3 resets of the app/camera to connect. half the time it puts the camera into a fit where even turning it off doesn't help, only removing the battery fixes it. when choosing "get" images, it disconnects non stop, or shows the very first image in the camera roll so you have to scroll for half a day to get to your most recent. when importing, half the time the images don't import clearly, having to re-download it.

3rd class useless app, show no image

The product functions properly with older cameras, but it is completely incompatible with the new Fujifilm X-E5. After successfully pairing the device, it consistently drops from both the smartphone's Bluetooth list and the application. I have attempted all available settings, online troubleshooting hacks, and official recommendations from the Fujifilm website, but the issue remains unresolved. It simply does not work.
