The colder it is, the more energy it takes to maintain 18°C in my home: if it's zero degrees outside, I need to heat it to 18°C, and my house consumes 18 times the price-comfort value. If it's 10°C outside, I only need to heat it by 8°C to go from 10°C to 8°C, and the house now consumes only 8 times the price-comfort value. The price-comfort ratio depends both on my habits and the quality of my home's insulation.

It's up to me to lower this value, meaning I pay less for more comfort!
