Terroring: Cast Tesla Screen Android

Terroring: Cast Tesla Screen

Wireless Tesla screen share: its own screen, split view, sound to car speakers.

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Turn your car screen into its own screen. Terroring puts an independent Android screen on a car display that has a built-in web browser, such as a Tesla. Pick apps on the car screen, watch video on the big display, and send sound to the car speakers. No cables, no root, no extra hardware.

■ Local VPN (Android VpnService)
• With your consent, Terroring uses VpnService only on your device so the car browser can reach the phone at a short address.
• The same local VPN can optionally block known vehicle update addresses while casting.
• It never connects to a remote VPN server, inspects traffic, or collects, logs, or sends data. Screen, sound and control traffic stays encrypted with HTTPS/WSS on the local network. It cannot run with another VPN.

■ The car screen is its own screen
• Unlike screen mirroring, it does not copy your phone display — the car screen runs on its own.
• While apps run on the car screen you can keep using the phone.
• The car screen and the phone screen show different things.

■ How it works
• Put your phone and car on the same local network (hotspot/Wi-Fi).
• Open the address shown in the car's browser and the separate screen appears.
• Screen and sound stream together, so you get picture and audio.

■ Pick and launch apps on the car screen
• The car screen shows an app list; choose one and launch it there.
• Use maps, video, music and web apps from your phone on the car screen.
• Control it as if you were touching the car screen.

■ Split view for two or three things at once
• Arrange up to 2-3 apps at once in split view.
• Put a map next to a video, or music next to a messenger.
• Choose which app goes in each pane.

■ Watch video on the big screen
• Use the large car display instead of a small phone screen.

■ Sound to the car speakers over Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth needed
• Audio can travel to the car speakers over Wi-Fi, so Bluetooth pairing is not required.
• Navigation voice prompts come through as well.

■ No car monitor or tablet to install
• No car monitor, tablet mount, HDMI cable or dongle to buy.
• It uses the screen and browser the car already has.
• Nothing to wire in, so the car is not modified.

■ Convenient auto-connect
• You can set it to start automatically when the car's Bluetooth connects.
• If the connection drops briefly, the app tries to recover on its own.

■ Screen and sound stay on your local network
• The screen, sound and control signals go directly from your phone to the car over your local network — never through or stored on an external server.
• To improve app quality, anonymous usage statistics and crash logs are collected (encrypted in transit) and do not identify individuals. See the privacy policy for details.

■ Who it is for
• Anyone who wants more out of the screen already in the car.
• Anyone who wants to watch video on the big car display.
• Anyone who would rather not install a car monitor or tablet.
• Anyone who wants the phone free while the car screen does its own thing.
• Anyone spending time in a parked car.

■ Before you buy
• A car with a built-in web browser is required — without one the app cannot work.
• The phone and the car must be on the same local network (phone hotspot or shared Wi-Fi).
• Setup requires enabling wireless debugging on the phone; the app guides you step by step.
• For safety, do not watch video while driving — use while parked.

■ If it will not connect
• Check that the phone and car are on the same network. With a phone hotspot, the car must be joined to it.
• Enter the address in the car browser again. The address is shown in the app.
• If wireless debugging is off, the app shows you how to turn it back on.
• If there is no sound, check the audio output setting in the app.

■ Pricing
• After a 7-day free trial, one lifetime purchase unlocks everything.
