Fruit Basket Catch

Fruit Basket Catch - a catching game where a woven basket slides along the bottom of a fruit stall and gathers produce falling from above. The basket follows the finger, so a drag across the screen moves it left or right and a tap sends it toward that spot. Fresh apples, oranges, pears and grapes add points when they land inside, each type carrying its own value, while a rare golden fruit comes down from time to time and adds a much larger amount at once. Spoiled fruit has to be let through: catching one costs a heart, and the run ends when the last of the three hearts is gone. Fruit that slips past the basket is counted as missed and takes back part of its value, but it does not cost a heart. The stall sign at the top keeps the current total, the number of the current wave and the hearts that remain in view at all times. Every wave releases a fixed set of items, and once the last one is resolved a summary panel appears with the total, how many items were caught and how many were missed, next to a control that opens the following wave. Each wave after that sends items down a little faster, shortens the pause that follows each drop and mixes in a larger share of spoiled fruit, while clearing a wave hands one heart back up to the limit of three. A pause control sits beside the stall sign and freezes the field with the current total, wave and hearts on screen, with the option to continue or to return to the menu. The best total carries over from one session to the next and is shown on the menu and in the settings panel, where it can also be cleared, and haptic feedback can be switched on or off.
