User Reviews

2600.emu is praised for its solid Atari 2600 emulation, ease of use, and authentic nostalgic gameplay. Users appreciate its compatibility with various ROMs and controller support. However, recurring issues include lack of paddle controller support, file permission problems hindering ROM access, and occasional performance lags. Wireless gamepad connectivity problems and insufficient customer support responses also diminish user experience. Despite these drawbacks, the app remains a popular choice for Atari fans seeking reliable mobile emulation.

This emulator started out great and has somehow gotten progressively worse over time even without updates in several months. Various games that used to be readable and playable are no longer. I've tried rebuilding my ROMs folder and uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but nothing makes it better. It seems to just get worse with every troubleshooting effort. Uninstalling for good now.

This feels limited compared to his other apps. No paddle mapping at all, and there is a bt controller (Atari Wireless Classic) with a built in paddle that would work perfectly. 3 stars though, because as mentioned, I can't even map them to a slider, or use an original paddle set with an adapter. Paddle mapping, and support for paddle controllers would bump it up to 5. Edit: Dropped it to 2 because I noticed the app desc. is lying. NO paddle mapping AT ALL.
