This app is just ugh. So many issues and as soon as I mess with any settings regarding sound, the smoothswing on my saber turns into something extremely tinny and doesn't sound like the chosen soundfont. It's hard to enjoy my saber when I am forced to use such a restrictive and unstable app to configure it. Hopefully the V3 update actually works, but that's still so far out it seems. Update 7/26/21: Electrum has updated the D3 firmware and released a new app. This app works fine with Diatium 2
Ah man what happened??? This app used to be so awesome now it won't even connect. I used to love being to change the color, play with the different clash settings, switch up the sound presets, adjust the volume. It was freaking awesome! What the heck happened??? Please fix it ASAP.
This app is practically unusable. Consistently breaks. Won't update to the saber, assuming you can even connect in the first place, quite often forgets what settings you had, so the next time you open up the app it will replace your settings on the saber with the default ones. For such a high quality saber I expected a much better app.
Received my saber yesterday and have been trying to download the app since then. Still not connecting. Reached out to the staff to let them know about the problem and Kyle's response was, "We've never heard any complaints about the app. It must be your phone." The USB cable it came with was also broke as soon as i started charging it. Response, "You can get a USB cable anywhere." Like many, i bought this saber based on the supposed customizability, now i feel like i have $400+ of junk.
App is basically useless. Takes 4 or 5 attempts to connect. Once connected you can change settings, but they aren't persistent. Unable to create profiles, blades, etc. I know a new version is coming and I'm super excited for it. Until then I'll stay away from the app.
The app barely functions. The settings pages take several minutes to load. Most of the options take anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes to actually change and it disconnects from the saber every minute preventing you from getting anywhere. Thats if you can get it to connect in the first place. If by some miracle it doesn't disconnect, nothing saves. And yes I DO have all permissions enabled, including storage. It still rarely connects and nothing saves.
I've had my saber for over a year. Got fed up with the app never working so I deleted it. I just downloaded it again after several months hoping the problem would have been resolved by now but, no, it hasn't. I chose this saber because of it's ability to be customized with my phone and I'm extremely disappointed. I will not be a repeat customer.
Just got my saber was excited to check out this app and its features, but I cant search for my saber. The button that allows the search does nothing. Tried on 2 different android devices and had the same issue. Bummer too because being able to switch setting on the fly was the sell point for me.
I have 2 of these sabers now and I absolutely LOVE THEM. However, the app is pretty terrible. I thought at first it was just me using an old phone, but I've just upgraded and still have issues. Disconnects frequently, to the point the app is worthless in my opinion. The biggest headache with disconnects is anytime I try to save anything. I thought maybe it was my D2 board, I upgraded it to a D3 board and it still doesn't work right. I hope this is able to be fixed.
Total nightmare of an app. The saber I got is beautiful but the app makes me not even want to look at the thing. Just picked it up for the first time since I put it down in frustration two weeks ago: my settings didn't even default, I had settings of 300+ on a slider that only goes to 10. Received it a month ago, already resigned to it being a pretty paperweight.
