Chicken Egg Merge

Chicken Egg Merge - a sliding puzzle on a four by four board where two matching eggs fuse into a single egg of the next level. A swipe up, down, left or right moves every egg on the board at once and presses them all against one wall, and any two eggs of the same level that meet along the way turn into one egg of doubled value: a plain white egg becomes a speckled nest egg, a speckled egg becomes a painted blue egg, and the chain continues through carved green, molten red, crystal, bright spiral, ornate gold, cosmic, obsidian and finally the rainbow gem egg that closes the chain. Each egg takes part in only one fusion per swipe, so the order of moves decides how deep a chain of fusions can go. Every fusion adds points equal to the value of the egg that appears, which means climbing the chain builds the total far faster than plain sliding does. After every swipe that actually moved something, a fresh egg of the lowest level appears on a free cell, so open space shrinks steadily and has to be managed with care. A round ends when the board is full and no two neighbouring eggs share a level, and the closing panel then shows the final total together with options to begin a new round at once or step back to the main menu. Two panels above the board keep the current total and the highest total saved on the device in view at all times, and a line under the board names the next egg level that has not been reached yet, while a short notice appears on the board the moment a new level is hatched for the first time. A pause control sits in the lower corner and opens a panel with options to continue, begin a new round or leave to the menu. A separate collection page lists all eleven egg levels in a grid, with reached levels shown in full colour and the remaining ones sealed until they appear on the board for the first time. The highest total and the set of reached egg levels are kept on the device from one session to the next, and an unfinished round is brought back on the next opening, while a new round always starts from a clean board. The settings page shows the highest total and the highest egg level, allows haptic feedback to be turned on or off and allows all saved progress to be cleared with a confirming second tap. The whole game runs full screen in portrait orientation and has no sound.
