RoadScout

RoadScout turns any Android phone into a road-condition survey instrument for haul roads, rural roads, and mine-site networks.

Mount the device, name your trip, and start recording. RoadScout automatically captures:

• High-quality dashcam frames at a configurable rate (up to ~1 per second)
• IMU telemetry (accelerometer and gyroscope) at 25 Hz to detect corrugation, potholes, and surface roughness

All captured data is uploaded securely to the DustScout backend over HTTPS, where it is processed by machine-learning models that detect pavement defects and produce route-level condition reports. Results are reviewable from the operator dashboard at app.dustscout.com.
