Constellation

Constellation is a quiet daily mood journal kept by the night sky. Every night you place a small star whose brightness fits how the day felt — from a Brilliant white-gold to a Lost cold black — and, if you like, jot a single line about the day. Over weeks and months, your sky fills with constellations of your kept nights.

TONIGHT (home)
The home screen opens onto a single large star at its centre — tonight's star, waiting to be picked. Above it, three segmented tabs sit side-by-side: TONIGHT, SKY, and ALMANAC. Below it, a horizontal scroll of seven small star-disks lets you pick a brightness, a one-line note field invites a short thought, and a wide button at the bottom places the star. A streak ribbon names how many consecutive nights your sky has been lit. The week's seven nights sit below as small star-disks, tappable to revisit.

THE SKY (calendar)
The Sky is the heart of the app: a full month laid out as a wide spread of placed stars. Each logged night is a soft round disk in its star's colour with the emoji on it. Flip through the months and watch each one fill in. Below the calendar, a breakdown shows how the month's stars fell, one bar per brightness. Tap any day to open or edit it.

THE NIGHT (per-day detail)
Every night has its own page. A big star shows how it felt, with the note beneath it. Step a day forward or back, change the star, edit the note, or take the star back down. Past nights are always editable, so a missed one is easy to add later.

ALMANAC (trends & settings)
The Almanac gathers the numbers: your current streak, longest streak lit, total stars placed, and your average brightness. A fourteen-night strip shows the recent run at a glance — taller, warmer bars are brighter nights, gaps are nights you skipped — and a card names your most common star so far. The same screen holds your preferences: haptic feedback, the midnight or warm-parchment palette, and whether the week starts on Monday.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
All entries are encrypted on your device with AES, using a key stored in the Android Keystore. The released app has no INTERNET permission at all — it physically cannot send anything anywhere. There is no account, no cloud, no sync, no notifications, and nothing is ever transmitted.

Constellation starts with a little recent history seeded in so the sky is never empty, and you can clear everything and start fresh at any time. It does not gamify, nag, or guilt. It simply asks one honest question a night, and lights the colour of it.
