Beyond simple forecasting, RegenVorschau offers interactive radar maps that display current rainfall and its direction, helping users anticipate precipitation beyond the initial timeframe. Added features include a dynamic wind map illustrating wind flows at various altitudes (10 m, 1500 m, 3000 m), enhancing users' ability to assess weather conditions effectively. User Reviews

Users praise RegenVorschau for its accuracy, simplicity, and usefulness in daily weather predictions, especially for rain probability and intensity. The app is appreciated for its clear, no-frills interface and unique features like wind direction. However, multiple users note drawbacks including an outdated design, intrusive advertisements, lack of customization options like color schemes, and limited widget appeal. Some desire additional features like alarms and improved map visuals. Overall, the app fulfills its core purpose reliably despite some usability and aesthetic shortcomings.

Pros

Very accurate and reliable rain probability and intensity data.
Simple and clear user interface without unnecessary graphical effects.
Useful and essential for activities like cycling and short outings.
Includes unique features like wind direction and time estimation.
Performs its core functions well without unnecessary complexity.

Cons

Outdated design and appearance, resembling very old Android or Blackberry styles.
Presence of intrusive or unavoidable advertisements.
Lack of customizable color schemes, making some graphs hard to see on dark backgrounds.
Widgets could be more visually appealing especially if they come at a cost.
Missing features like alarm functionality and better map backgrounds (e.g., OpenStreetMap).

Perfekt. Bitte auch für Österreich.

Best Weather App I know! The possibility to change the color scheme would be nice. The blue probability-graph is sometimes hard to see, especially with a dark background.
