Chicago SAFE ZONE Alert Pro helps drivers stay aware of mapped safety zones across Chicago — including areas near schools, parks, pedestrian crossings, and other high-activity locations derived from publicly available municipal safety-related data.

As you drive, the app uses your device GPS position in real time and provides voice announcements and audio alerts when approaching a safety zone ahead — helping drivers stay aware and focused on the road.

── HOW IT WORKS ──

The app runs quietly either in the background or as a foreground service. When a safety zone is detected along your route, you hear a clear voice alert such as:

"Safety Zone Ahead at [address], northbound, in XYZ meters"

This is followed by optional distance countdown announcements at 300, 200, 100, and 10 meters.

The safety-zone database is built directly into the app and includes over one hundred mapped locations throughout the Chicago area. A GPS signal is required for real-time detection.

Background location access is required so alerts can function while using navigation or music apps during driving.

Overlay permission is used solely to display alert notifications above navigation applications while the app is active.
