Cardixs

Cardixs turns a photo of a business card into a contact you can use.

Point the camera at a card and take the photo. The text is read and sorted into fields: name, job title, company, phone, email, address and website. Nothing is saved until you look at it — fields the app is less sure about are marked, so you know where to check first.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Take a photo of the card, or pick one from your gallery.
2. Review the fields and correct anything that needs correcting.
3. Save. The card is on your phone and in your account.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Keep several phone numbers and email addresses on a single card
• Organise cards into groups, add tags, mark the ones you need often
• Search across names, companies, job titles, addresses, notes, email addresses and phone numbers — the search runs on your phone
• Add a card to your phone's contacts with one tap
• Read QR codes printed on the card: WhatsApp links open in WhatsApp, and for WeChat the app shows how to find the person there
• Write your own notes on any card

WORKS OFFLINE

Your cards are stored on your phone, so the list opens with no connection. Scan a card at a trade fair with no signal and it waits in a queue; the text is read as soon as you are back online. Sign in on another phone and your cards come back.

READS CARDS IN ANY LANGUAGE

Text recognition detects the language by itself — you never have to choose one first.

The app's own interface is available in English, Turkish, Arabic, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. Arabic is laid out right to left. Light and dark themes follow your phone, or you can pick one yourself.

PRIVACY

No ads. No analytics. No tracking.

Before the camera opens for the first time, Cardixs tells you in plain words what is sent where: the photo goes to Google Cloud Vision to read the text, and that text goes to OpenAI to sort it into fields. You can decline, and the app still works — you just cannot scan.

The business card you photograph belongs to the person who gave it to you, not to us. It is processed only to give you the card, and it is never sold or used for advertising.

You can delete your account and everything stored with it from inside the app, under Profile. If you cannot get into the app, you can ask for the same thing at https://cardixs.com/en/delete-account/

The first 10 scans are free. After that, a single yearly subscription removes the limit. One plan, one price in your region, nothing else to choose.
