ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE — WHY BEYOND ALARM ASKS FOR IT

Beyond Alarm is not an accessibility tool and does not present itself as one. It uses Android's AccessibilityService API, only with your permission, to enforce the rules you set for yourself:

• While an alarm is ringing, it closes the power menu and brings the alarm screen back if you switch away, so it can't be dismissed without finishing the mission you chose.

• While a morning or night lockout you set is running, it keeps the lockout screen above other apps until your time is up.

• While an app block is running, it reads which app is in the foreground, so it can send you back out of the apps you picked and leave every other app working normally.

To do this, the service can see which app is on screen and the window titles Android reports to it. Beyond Alarm never reads, collects, stores or shares your screen content, messages or anything you type, and nothing from it leaves your phone. It is optional, stays off until you turn it on, acts only while an alarm, lockout or block you started is running, and can be switched off any time in Android Settings > Accessibility.
