Task paralysis, executive dysfunction, time blindness — if any of those are familiar, you already know that knowing what to do isn't the problem. The barcode gate forces the one thing that actually breaks the freeze: a physical first step. Walk to the thing, scan it, and you're already moving before your brain had time to argue. We know the 6am version of you will try everything to get back to sleep, so Orbit Alarm is built to stop that version of you specifically:
* The alarm locks to full volume the instant it rings — turning your phone's volume down mid-ring doesn't work
* Snoozing is capped per alarm, with the count shown on-screen, so "just five more minutes" can't become forty
* Emergency Dismiss still exists for genuine emergencies, but it's deliberately punishing to use — a real skill-based challenge, not a free pass
* Survives Do Not Disturb, battery optimisation, and even swiping the app away — it keeps ringing

Falling asleep is half the problem. The Stasis Pod is a full-screen ambient visual and soundscape space to drift off in, paired with a bedtime signal that nudges you toward bed at the right time — with its own optional barcode lock, so "just five more minutes" doesn't happen at night either.
