2025-01-11	Je*****	Hilarious that a $60 meat thermometer needs a spyware app and a Bluetooth connection to your phone just to project the temperature of your steak on the PERFECTLY GOOD LCD DISPLAY THAT THE THERMOMETER ALREADY HAS. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS OBJECT IF NOT TO HARVEST YOUR DATA FROM YOUR PHONE? I am returning this stupid thing tomorrow. What a colossal waste of nonrenewable resources.

However, this app does not function at all with the thermometer, even when paired. I plan to call Walmart customer service and return the thermometer and get a refund. Poor quality control...

For those with the same problem: 0) update to latest Android, 1) uninstall smart thermo the original not smartthermo2 2) reinstall smartthermo the original not smartthermo2 3) open the app. It will ask you for permission to various things like location, files etc. Say yes to everything, 4) open the original and it will work and pair.

2020-05-01	Gl*****	I live the thermometer but the app is garbage, which kind of means the they is garbage. App crashes every time I get more than 10 feet away. Ad a result I have to constantly reset the damn thing. Every time you pair it it zeros out

2020-03-29	A *****	Crashes on opening. I installed this app in late 2019 for my new thermometer and it worked OK. Now, 4-5 months later, it just crashes when you try to open it, even after a reinstall. I'll adjust this review if the resolve it.
