I've read the comments and don't understand, it works perfectly for me, all you have to do is read the instructions but you know the times we live in, if you connect the device through the app itself you shouldn't have a problem. Depending on what material, i.e. Dutch oven, it might cut the signal. also you place the device somewhat between where you cook and where you are relaxing. Just read the instructions is all I can say

Complete trash. App for a Bluetooth thermometer needs access to Camera, Phone. Mic, Location? Pft. Worst part is the actual thermometer doesn't even work without the app. Actual Garbage, modern day snake oil packaged as a Premium gift.
