Barproof: Bar Specs & Batching

Barproof is a cocktail spec book built for people who work behind a bar, not browse from a couch. Search-first, spec in two taps, readable in bar light.

264 SPECS, READY TO POUR
Classics, tiki and exotica, modern classics, and the well-drink canon everyone actually orders. Every drink carries method, glass, ice, garnish, and build notes — not a wall of prose you have to read mid-service.

THE 86 BOARD
Mark what ran out tonight and see instantly which drinks come off the board. The one thing every other cocktail app is missing.

MY BAR
Set what your bar actually carries, once. Drinks you can't pour grey out — and Barproof tells you whether it's because something's 86'd tonight or because you never stocked it. Those are different problems.

SUBSTITUTIONS THAT MAKE SENSE
No orgeat? Barproof says so, and says what to pour instead — but only where the swap genuinely works. It won't tell you a Last Word is fine with the wrong Chartreuse.

BATCH MATH THAT ACCOUNTS FOR DILUTION
Scale any spec to a bottle, a pitcher, or a party. Shaken, stirred, and built drinks each get the right dilution, so a batched Negroni tastes like a Negroni.

PREP SHEETS
Syrups and cordials with yields, scaling, and how long they keep. Mark a batch made and the list tells you what's about to turn.

ADVANCED TECHNIQUE
Acid adjustment, milk punch clarification, carbonation pressure, fat-washing ratios. The arithmetic you'd otherwise do wrong on a napkin.

POUR COST
Price your bottles once and every drink shows what it costs to make, and what to charge to hit your margin.

MENU MODE
Prop your house menu on the well and read it at a glance.

IMPORT YOUR OWN SPECS
Paste a written recipe and Barproof reads it into a draft — amounts, units, ingredients, method, garnish. Fractions like 3/4 work, because that's how you think.
