ordinary notes is a private, lightweight, fully-offline notes app for Android.
Built for people who don't want a notebook that phones home.

WHAT YOU GET

• Sidebar-first, Notion-style layout. Top-level pages, sub-pages, kebab menu
for add / rename / move-to-trash.
• Block-based editor: paragraph, heading 1/2/3, bulleted list, numbered list,
todo, quote, code block, divider.
• Type "/" to summon the slash menu and change block types without leaving
the keyboard.
• Emoji icons per page (100+ curated glyphs).
• Background auto-save. Type a sentence, and a moment later it's already
on disk. No "Save" button, no sync, no spinner.
• Full-text search across page titles and body content.
• Trash: 7-day soft delete with Restore and Delete-forever actions.

Everything you type lives only on this device, in the app's private
storage. If you uninstall ordinary notes, your notes go with it — zero
servers, zero leaks.

LIGHT + FAST

• Single-Activity Compose UI. No nav-graph bloat.
• Room/SQLite for indexing and search; kotlinx.serialization for blocks.
• Minimal dependencies. The release AAB is around 425 KB.
• minSdk 24 (Android 7.0); targetSdk 36.

doesn't ship their thoughts to a marketing CDN.
• People who tried Notion / Obsidian and wanted just the editor and tree —

NO NETWORK NEEDED

The app declares no internet permission. You can verify this in
Settings → Apps → ordinary notes → Permissions.
