Recording your symptoms takes only a moment. You can record:

• location and intensity of pain,
• impact of pain on daily functioning,
• swelling and morning stiffness,
• factors that may have accompanied the symptoms,
• pain relief methods used,
• your own notes.

The entry history helps you see how your symptoms have changed over time. Before your appointment, you can prepare a clear summary, including the number of days with pain, average and highest intensity, most common painful areas, and the most severe episodes.

This will make it easier to recall what happened between consultations and provide your doctor with a more accurate description of your symptoms.
