MetaShield EXIF Cleaner

Know what a photo may reveal before you share it. MetaShield EXIF Cleaner is a
local photo EXIF editor that makes hidden camera details and location exposure
easy to review, change, or remove.

INSPECT PHOTO METADATA
Choose up to 12 images with Android's system picker. Review filename, file size,
dimensions, captured date, camera make and model, ISO, aperture, exposure,
orientation, and whether GPS information is present. A built-in synthetic demo
photo lets you explore the workflow without using a personal image.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT PROTECTION
• Clean all supported metadata by creating a fresh JPEG copy
• Remove GPS tags while retaining other supported EXIF fields
• Edit capture date, camera make, and camera model with input validation
• Keep the original file untouched

VERIFY AND SHARE DELIBERATELY
Every completed action creates a local result record. MetaShield reopens the
saved copy to verify its GPS state, shows what action was applied, and lets you
share or delete the protected copy when you decide.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
The core workflow runs on your device, requires no account, and uses the system
document picker instead of requesting broad storage access. The app does not
request your device location. Your protected copies stay in app-local storage
until you share or delete them.

FORMAT NOTES
Metadata support varies by source format and by the fields written by the
camera or editor that created the image. JPEG offers the most complete EXIF
support. PNG and WebP metadata availability may be limited. Full cleanup
re-encodes a size-capped JPEG copy, so it is not intended as a lossless archival
export. Always inspect the protected result before distributing sensitive
photos.
