RECUR – GERMAN HARNSTEIN REGISTER

Have you had kidney or ureteral stones several times and want to learn more about your condition? Do you want to actively contribute to your own health and that of other affected people?

Then take part in the RECUR register, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research to research your illness.

The information and data (e.g. questionnaires, laboratory values, X-ray findings or surgical reports) from patients with the same disease, in our case the recurrence of urinary stones, are collected in registers. Today this is done in digital form.

As part of the federal medical informatics initiative, the German university clinics are networked with one another so that a secure exchange of scientific data is possible.

RECUR wants to make sensible use of these technical possibilities. As a participant, you can enter the necessary information conveniently from home or on the go using the RECUR patient app. Your details will be transmitted in encrypted form via a cloud to the hospital treating you. The information is available there for you and your medical team during meetings.

Download this app to your smartphone, read the patient information carefully and give your consent to participate in the project. You can then fill out the first questionnaires. Every 6 months you will be asked again about possible changes. You can also report the occurrence of a kidney or ureteral stone event.
In order for your treatment team to be able to access the data in your app and discuss it with you, you have to personally scan a QR code with the RECUR patient app once at a RECUR location.
