Rabo Nova

Rabo Nova is a falling column puzzle set in orbit. A stack of three glowing fruits drifts down into a well six columns wide and thirteen rows deep. You slide the column left and right and you cycle the order of the three fruits inside it, then you let it land. Three or more of the same fruit in a line clears them, and lines count across, down and along both diagonals, which is where most of the points are hiding.

The diagonals are what make this different from a simple stacking game. A column that looks wasted from the front can be the one that completes two diagonals at once, and because everything above a cleared line falls straight down, one careful landing can set off a chain. Each step of a chain multiplies the score of everything it clears, so a well built stack pays far more than a tidy one.

Speed is tied to the harvest. Every fifteen fruits you clear raises the level and the column falls faster. By level eight you are placing pieces on instinct, and the well starts to punish any column you have neglected.

Three modes share the same well. Endless runs until the stack reaches the top, and it is the mode where the highest scores live. Nova Rush gives you ninety seconds and nothing else, so every landing has to earn its place. Gravity Well starts you six rows deep in drifting fruit and asks you to clear forty of them before the well tops out, which turns the game into a rescue job rather than a build.

Controls are made for one thumb. A pad under the well moves left, cycles the trio, moves right and drops instantly, and you can also tap the left or right side of the well to move, tap the middle to cycle, and swipe down for a hard drop. A ghost outline always shows where the column will land.

The game runs offline. There are no adverts, no purchases, no accounts and no timers asking you to return later. Best scores for each mode, twelve achievements and a local leaderboard are stored on your device, and one clear data control in the settings screen erases all of it whenever you want a clean flight log.
