User Reviews

Habit Of Living is praised for its empathetic AI therapist, helpful mental health tools like journaling and EMDR, and a motivating rewards system. The clean interface and range of features assist users in managing their mental health independently. However, many users express frustration with the premium paywall restricting key content and rewards, delays in reward shipments, occasional repetitive feedback, and minor navigation issues. Overall, the app is seen as beneficial and supportive, especially as an adjunct to therapy, but would improve by making more features accessible to free users and enhancing communication.
Pros
  • The app offers useful mental health support tools such as journaling, AI therapy, and goal setting that help users between therapy sessions.
  • The AI therapist is empathetic, personable, and provides helpful feedback, making interaction meaningful.
  • The app's interface is clean, easy to navigate, and aesthetically pleasing, allowing for an enjoyable user experience.
  • The rewards system motivates users to engage with the app consistently by earning points redeemable for prizes.
  • Features like EMDR therapy and mood tracking add value beyond traditional journaling apps.
Cons
  • Significant functionality and desirable rewards are locked behind a paid premium version, limiting free users' experience.
  • Delay and lack of communication regarding reward fulfillment cause user frustration.
  • Some users find the content repetitive over time and desire more variety, especially in journal prompts.
  • Lack of certain usability features like a back button and difficulty navigating between topics reduces ease of use.
  • Some therapeutic sections, like the breathing exercises, are behind paywalls, which users feel restricts access to beneficial content.

Downloaded the app under misguided information, the people who are paid to make videos for this app don't tell you that you have to pay to upgrade in order to use your points, I don't have any support and my depression is so bad and I thought one of their "free" boxes might make me feel better and I have the points for it but I have to pay to upgrade first, my husband controls our money and would never allow me to spend a penny on myself for something like this, I'm so upset

This seems pretty useful. Using it to get feelings out and journal between therapy sessions, and there's a way to connect with your real therapist through the app. I haven't tried that yet. I've only done the AI therapist session and gotten some suggestions for journaling. I can't see any negatives to using this app. I really like it so far.
