Overview

Features & Capabilities

Well-Thought is a psychologically informed self-help and reflection tool, grounded principally in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles and practices and complemented by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-informed strategies.

It is designed to help you understand relationships between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, recognise and unhook from potentially unhelpful patterns, and develop clearer perspectives and more balanced responses.

At its heart, Well-Thought intends to provide a warm, non-judgemental reference point for questioning and reflection — helping you directly understand your own experience rather than telling you what you should think or feel.

Work through difficult thoughts
Explore what is going through your mind, identify thinking patterns that may be influencing your experience, and consider alternative perspectives through structured questions and reflections.

Put your thinking to the test
Behavioural Experiments help you take reflection into everyday life by testing predictions and assumptions against what actually happens.

Notice what changes over time
Your Journal keeps your reflections, positive experiences and behavioural experiments organised. Progress and Insights help you notice recurring thinking patterns and explore changes over time.

Check in with how you've been feeling
PHQ-9 and GAD-7 questionnaires provide established measures that can help you observe changes in symptoms of low mood and anxiety over time. They are not a diagnosis.

Keep your reflections private
Well-Thought is designed around on-device privacy. Your personal reflections remain on your device, without requiring an account or cloud storage. (found in 'information' bottom right button)

Well-Thought was developed by an accredited CBT practitioner with extensive clinical experience. It brings together structured reflection, pattern recognition, perspective-taking and behavioural experimentation in an accessible tool you can return to at your own pace, and is completely off-line and private).

Well-Thought is a self-help and reflection tool and is not a substitute for professional mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment or emergency support.
