Ourmind

App to participate in a study on university mental health in Chile

Features & Capabilities

Ourmind is a mobile application created to support a scientific study on stress, mental health, and adaptation to university life in Chile, within the framework of the FONDECYT Regular Project 1252104, led by Dr. Carolina Inostroza Rovegno of the Psychology Department at the University of Concepción.

The app is intended exclusively for students who were invited to participate in the study and who have already provided informed consent. It is not an app for general public use, nor is it a clinical diagnostic or treatment tool.

What can you do with Ourmind?

Answer questionnaires about stress, mental health, and your experience of university life at the beginning and end of the study period.

Complete brief daily surveys over several days, with limited response times. The app aims to provide a better understanding of the university experience, the sources of stress, and potential support needs, contributing to the development of student well-being strategies and programs in higher education institutions.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your data is handled in accordance with current Chilean legislation, including Law No. 19.628 on the Protection of Personal Data and regulations on research involving human subjects.

The information collected is used solely for research purposes and is stored confidentially, associated with codes and not your name, to protect your identity.

The results will be presented in aggregate form (never individually) in reports, publications, and academic activities.

You can request information, correction, or deletion of your data in accordance with current regulations. Furthermore, your participation is entirely voluntary: you can withdraw from the study at any time without consequences for your relationship with the university or the research team.

Important

Ourmind does not replace psychological care or emergency services.

If risk indicators are detected during the study (for example, suicidal risk), the support and referral protocols defined by your university will be activated, and you will be provided with information on available resources.

For more information about the study, your rights as a participant, and the Terms and Conditions of use of the application, you can consult the documents provided by the research team and the official OURMIND project website.
