CheckThemAll Firefox

CheckThemAll

I updated to Firefox 57 and I was looking for a WebExtension replacement for CheckFox, since I was not able to find one, I implemented it. CheckThemAll allows you to select many checkboxes and then check / uncheck / invert them with one single click!

Features & Capabilities

CheckThemAll is a Firefox WebExtension designed as a seamless replacement for the older CheckFox extension. It empowers users to efficiently manage multiple checkboxes on any webpage by enabling bulk selection actions like checking, unchecking, or inverting selections with a single click.

To use CheckThemAll, simply select the area containing the checkboxes you wish to modify, right-click, and choose your desired action from the extension's menu. This streamlined approach enhances browsing productivity, especially for forms or lists with numerous options. Make sure to expand your selection to include the first checkbox for optimal effect.

User Reviews

CheckThemAll is widely appreciated for its effectiveness in batch checking checkboxes, saving significant time and effort. It is intuitive and reliable in many contexts, including education and file management platforms. However, users note it doesn't support automatic selection of all checkboxes without manual input, and it fails to function in some specialized or complex web apps like Salesforce and Quickbooks Online. Additionally, it lacks advanced customization for selection patterns, which some users desire. Overall, it is a valuable tool but with some limitations in flexibility and compatibility.
Pros
  • Effectively automates checking multiple checkboxes, saving time especially when dealing with large numbers of items.
  • Intuitive and easy to use, works well in many real-world scenarios like online education and file management.
  • Reliable and stable, often praised compared to alternative add-ons that fail to work consistently.
  • Helpful for specific use cases such as working with PeopleSoft, Dropbox, or Permission-Checkboxes on Drupal.
Cons
  • Lacks functionality to automatically select all checkboxes without manually selecting text or specifying them first.
  • Does not work properly with certain complex or proprietary web applications like Salesforce and Quickbooks Online.
  • No advanced features such as options to select every other checkbox or other custom selection patterns.
  • Some users find the process of selecting checkboxes cumbersome or not fully flexible.
