The app requires location all at all times, this eats up battery also. If you are already taking canton as input I don't see the point or at least if turned off it should default to last home location and stop giving pop up every now and then to switch location tracking back on

Recently the app started sending a notification every 20 minutes informing me that my location service is turned off, so I had to disable notifications for the app, rendering it completly useless. And no, I'm not turning on my location service. You can save a location in the app already, why is that not enough?
