Beacon

Beacon is free community infrastructure from Commonet. Neighbours share local updates, events, and alerts — without Facebook groups or an algorithm deciding who sees them.

Updates are about where you are, not who you follow. Turn on location to participate in nearby places you care about.

When cell service is down, Beacon is built to keep a community safety net available — including radio-linked mesh when a device is paired.
